ELYSOVO AIRPORT

Technical Ramp and Engineering Support is provided by the local airport authorities, Federal State Unitary Petropavlovsk - Kamchatsky Aviation Enterprise.

General Airport Conditions

Elysovo Airport has no aerobridge bays and 1 open bay suitable for Boeing/Airbus wide body operations, which are located 2 minutes driving distance from the international and domestic arrival/departure hall.

There are no specific Engine Run Up bays. All high power runs are to be carried out at taxiway number 9, approximately 1 km, 10 minutes towing time.

Foreign Aircraft Operations

There are various domestic carriers that operate with Russian aircraft (IL 62/IL 69/TU 154) into Elysovo airport. Eva Airlines used to operate the B747 into the station. The Russian international carrier AeroFlot operates the A310/B767 into the station on a routine schedule. The airport also sees a regular flight from ANC station on a MD11/10.

Water & Toilet Servicing

Water and toilet servicing are provided by the local Airport Authorities. They have the equipment and facilities to service the Boeing/Airbus aircraft. The water truck which supplies potable water does not have scheduled tank cleaning or superchorination checks.

Fuel

Fuel is of TC-1 specification, Russian standards. This fuel is acceptable by many major airlines. The Fuel Company provides Russian certification and laboratory testing. Fuel sampling, quality check and fuel filter changes are done according to Russian Requirements at the fuel laboratory.

Fuel Tankers are used for refueling aircraft on the open bays. Water contamination checks are carried out prior to every refueling.

Because the Fuel Tankers filtering system is not within the standard requirements, an additional filtering system is hooked on before refueling is carried out.

De-Icing

De-Icing services are provided by Airport Authorities. They provide OCTAFLO - Type 1 de-icing fluid, which is qualified by Boeing.

There are no specific De-Icing bays and a single Ford manufactured vehicle is used for this purpose.
