Technical Ramp and Engineering Support is provided by the local airport authorities, Federal State Unitary Petropavlovsk – Kamchatsky Aviation Enterprise.

General Airport Conditions

ElysovoAirport has no aerobridge bays and 01 open bay suitable for Boeing / Airbus wide body operations which are located 02 minutes drive from the international and domestic arrival/departure hall.

There are no specific Engine Run Up bays. All high power runs are to be carried out at the taxiway number 9, approximately 1 km, 10 minutes towing time.

Foreign Aircraft Operations

There are various domestic carrier that operate with Russian aircraft (IL 62 / IL 69 / TU 154) into Elysovo airport. Eva Airlines used to operate the B747 into the station. Russian international Carrier, AeroFlot, operates the A310 / B767 into the station on a routine schedule. The airport also sees a regular flight from ANC station on a MD11/10.

Water & Toilet Servicing

Water and toilet servicing are provided by the local Airport Authorities. They have the equipment and facilities to service the Boeing / Airbus aircraft. The water truck which supply the potable water do not have scheduled tank clean as well as superchorination checks.

Fuel

Fuel is of TC – 1 specification, Russian standards. This fuel is acceptable by many major airlines. The Fuel Company provides the Russian certification and the laboratory testing. Fuel sampling, quality check and fuel filter change are done according to Russian Requirements at the fuel laboratory.

Fuel Tankers are used for refueling aircraft on the open bays. Water contamination check is carried out prior to every refueling.

As the Fuel Tankers filtering system is not within the standard requirements, an additional filtering system is hooked on before refueling is carried out.

De-Icing

De-Icing services are provided by Airport Authorities. They provide OCTAFLO – Type 1 de-icing fluid, which is qualified by Boeing.

There are no specific De-Icing bays and a single Ford manufactured vehicle is used for this purpose.

Loading Facilities

There are no main/lower deck cargo loaders suitable for the Boeing / Airbus aircraft operations.

There are conveyor belts loaders that can be used for bulk cargo baggage load/unload.

Manpower Support

FederalState Unitary Petropavlovsk – Kamchatsky Aviation Enterprise provides the Technical Support in ElysovoAirport. All Engineers and Technicians are Russian qualified. There are are some with general Boeing / Airbus experience from the routine Aeroflot operations. The contact personnel is Mr. Victor G Sipko, Director of Maintenance Department. Available support can be gathered within 2 / 3 hours from contact.

Engineering Support

FederalState Unitary Petropavlovsk – Kamchatsky Aviation Enterprise does not have any Hangars. Workshop (Radio / Instrument / Hydraulic / Sheetmetal / Machine Shop) are available however with limited capability.

We will not be able to utilize the tooling in the workshop due to the difference in units of measurement.

Ground Support and Servicing Equipment

FederalState Unitary Petropavlovsk – Kamchatsky Aviation Enterprise owns all the equipments

They have the 03 Ground Power Unit (GPU), capable of 30-40 KVA output. Power is directly provided to the Open bays. This is not sufficient for complete power support. They also own the only available Air Starter Unit (ASU), capable of 50 PSI, however unserviceable (engine starter “US”).

In addition, they have a wheel axial jack, Malabar (60 Tons capable) and towbar for the B747 aircraft. Nitrogen cart, 2200 PSI, available however with Russian adapters.

Sighted Tow Tug with 200 Tons capability, adjustable passenger steps capable of reaching up to a B777 aircraft, a Mobile crane, contracted outside, with 40 Tons capability, and 15m extended cherry pickers are also available.
