American Airlines Successfully Passes Its Polar Certification Exercise
One of the US FAA OPS Specs requirements to allow airlines to operate commercial flights on Polar routes, (north of 78) is to perform an emergency diversion exercise into a Russian airport. This exercise is performed with FAA participation, having inspectors on-site at the Russian airport and at the airline crisis center.

GAC, Inc. Signs Ground Handling Agreements with Two Main Moscow Airports
In order to support our clients better GAC officially signed Ground Handling Agreements with Sheremetievo and
Domodedovo airports. These airports could be used for the emergency diversion by wide body aircraft
for flights over western Russia in support of India to North America non stop operations.

GAC, Inc. President Visits Cargolux Headquarters at Luxembourg
On December 1 and 2 GAC, Inc. President Edgar Vaynshteyn visited Luxembourg's headquarters and met with the management of this world class international cargo airline. The main goal of this visit was to discuss current and future cooperation in ground handling provision at some main international Central Asian and Russian airports.

On September 21-23, Global Aviation President, Edgar Vaynshteyn and Maintenance Engineering Manager for United Airlines, Derrick Saul have visited Yakutsk airport during the annual airport inspection.
