GAC Handles Cargolux Diversion into Krasnoyarsk.

On Christmas Day, December 25, 2007, Cargolux Boeing 747-400 diverted to Krasnoyarsk airport due to technical reasons.

GAC was called to handle the diversion including assistance to obtain all necessary overfly and landing permits,arrangements for maintenance, credit for services and fueling, assistance with customs, and other services. GAC English speaking Krasnoyarsk airport representative was able to arrive to the airport quickly and arranged for all necessary services within an hour of notification. Cargolux aircraft was serviced, refueled, and departed within 3 hours from landing. “All the effort and assistance given on this diversion has proved the value of our agreement and the service that goes with it. This would not have been something we could have easily handled just on our own.” commented Cargolux Head of Flight Operations Planning.
